Students from the ages of 12-21 may audition during our National Audition Tour (ages 11-21 in Raleigh). We recommend that students who are unable to attend a live audition send a video/DVD audition.

• $25 non-refundable master class audition fee (cash only)
• Pointe shoes required for women
• Women: please wear pink-footed tights and a black leotard
• Men: please wear black tights and a white T-shirt
• All auditioning students must bring a 4x6 full body photo in first arabesque
(on pointe for students studying on pointe)
Registration for master classes begins 30 minutes prior to the start of each class. There is no pre-registration for auditions. All participants must register on-site during the registration time.
All students will receive notification of the results by mail 2-3 weeks after their audition. Please wait three weeks before inquiring about audition results.

Please note that manual adjustment of a student's body to correct alignment and technique is a standard practice. If this is not acceptable, please Do Not Audition.
Each student must meet the qualifying age for his or her session by the first day of the program. We welcome students of any race, religion, color, national origin, or creed.
We strongly encourage students to attend one of our national or local auditions. If you cannot attend one of our scheduled auditions you may submit a video/DVD audition with an application form.
Audition videos must be postmarked March 1, 2012 or earlier. There is a $25 video audition fee. Please make the check payable to Carolina Ballet, and mail check, audition form, and video or DVD to:

Total Length should be 5 to 10 minutes.
In practice clothes, please show the following according to level of training and technical ability:
· Adagio
· Pirouettes en dedans and en dehors
· Petite allegro
· Grand allegro
· Échappé combination
· Turns executed on diagonal
· Consecutive relevés on two feet and/or one foot
